Customers like T Stees have noted the brilliance of the filete del pescado Diablo, alongside the grilled shrimp, which truly shines as a standout entree. Mary Frances Lynch's experience with the original recipe ceviche, handed down from the owner’s grandfather, is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to culinary heritage.

A very traditional, historic Mexican restaurant with fresh, absolutely delicious seafood offerings. Alejandro, our server, was knowledgeable, kind, and guided us through the menu. Highly recommend the filet del pescado Diablo style. However, the camarones parilla were the star of the show (and a recommendation from our server). The atmosphere is home-like, comfortable, and charming. We plan to go back before we leave Mazatlan. UPDATE: We did make it back one more time, 3 days later. This time for breaded camarones and Camarones Imperial. Another wonderful meal! Will be back next year for sure.

We wanted to find a family run, off the beaten track place to eat. That led us to Mariscos Bahia. We ordered ceviche, which the young man said was an original recipe that his grandfather had created in the 1950s. It was served with crisp, packaged corn tortillas and crackers. I ordered shrimp, as we understood that Mazatlan was the shrimp capital of Mexico. The young man recommended a chili sauce that he said would not be spicy. When the shrimp arrived covered in a red chili sauce, I had my misgivings. However, he was right. It was very flavorful with only the hint of spicy hot. My husband ordered the fish of the day en papillote. The fish was mahi-mahi, and included octopus and shrimp in the package. It’s aroma when the package was opened was only surpassed by its delicious taste. Truly the star of the meal. The meal was priced fairly given the quality of the food, presentation, quantity and friendly service. Step away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a delicious meal.

We had a very good time at this restaurant. The food was excellent. I absolutely loved aquachiles and grilled octopus (pulpa). I got aquachile on tostada. Other tostadas were excellent as well. Food was very reasonably priced, and we were charged accordingly. Bathrooms were very clean. The atmosphere was nice and traditional. Alejandro was attentive. It wasn't too quick, but it looked like it was run by family, and there were plenty of orders. Food was worth the wait. So, relax, get a couple of cervesas and end enjoy!

Amazing food. Fresh ceviche, incredible fish tacos, friendly staff, nice ambience. Not too expensive. Seriously delicious.

Incredible food, we loved the aguachile and all the shrimp dishes were so tasty. Incredible service and the courtyard was so lovely and quiet for a perfect lunch stop.

We just had a fantastic dinner at Mariscos Bahia. I always have a craving for grilled octopus, and here, it was amazing. We had mahi mahi chicharonnes also, and they were excellent as well. Alejandro was our server and was such a pleasure, he took special care of us and we really enjoyed having conversation with him. We've been eating so much great food around Centro, but this one was a special treat. The space is really nice too, with a few seating areas, including the small courtyard where we sat. I highly recommend

Their ceviche de camaron was the best I've ever had. It was robust yet tame at the same time. Different flavors would come in one after the other and it was such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend coming here for their ceviche. It's also a beautiful restaurant that's family owned so you also know it's made with love you can taste! Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Update: would go back again because of the service, drinks, etc but I would not order steak or meat there again. It was was the worst cut of beef I’ve ever had and I can do a bit chewy from time to time. The mushrooms and onions that came with it were great! As well as the fries. The shrimp was in an amazing garlic butter sauce, and the rice was nice and fluffy. Below is my previous review. A must try! I consider myself a true foodie and chose this location for a late lunch because the reviews reflected a friendly family run business with good food in a nice setting with varying spice levels. It was not busy at that time. We were greeted warmly. Service was attentive. Everything was priced reasonably and there’s a HAPPY HOUR on liquor! I chose the Shrimp aguachile with a medium spice level. It was not only the best I’ve had here so far, it was fresh. Not only that, I inquired on whether I could customize other items or ask for dishes not on the menu. Management said if they have the ingredients, they would definitely try! Wow. The Pulpo was tender and the mahi mahi traditional ceviche was a large portion. Can’t wait to go back. Should be on more of these foodie lists. I tried some of these fancy places with a view people rave about where I didn’t care for the food at all.
